I can't believe the last thing I posted here was back in June! The year has gone so quckly and we have done several shows since then. We have taken the minis abroad again, this time to Holland, where the sun shone and the show was big and busy.
Last weekend we went to the new show in Burford which was well supported with lots of traders.
Next stop York for the show at the race course and a welcome visit with my sister.

We always look forward to the York show, and this year is no exception. We will visit my sister beforehand, and then we are off on holiday afterwards.
This summer we will be showing our NEW Porter'sChair for the first time.
Hall Porters were expected to be on duty to open the door to visitors at any time, to protect them from the draughts they had a hooded chair, which usually had a compartment under the seat where they could put a pot of embers to help keep them warm.

Early in February we took Criss Cross Miniatures to Antwerp. We attended a mixed Miniatures, Dolls and Teddies show,. It was very different from anything we have done before. There were a few English exhibitors, but mostly the stand holders were local. After the show we stayed on for a day to explore Antwerp, which we liked a lot especially as the sun shone!
We are now thinking about going to Holland in the autumn.

We finished 2016 on a bit of a high, with 2 really good shows.
January has been set aside to design and make more miniatures. We have lots of ideas for new items, but for now we are concentrating on restocking things we have sold out of and expanding our popular Art Deco range to include a sofa and coffee table.
We will be back on the show circuit in February, starting with the City of London Fair on Sunday Feb 5th nd then Thame on Saturday 18th February

Stafford was a busy and exciting show, where we had the chance to chat to new people and discuss new ideas.
Now we are looking forward to Miniatura, this will be the 4th time we have been there and for us the novelty has yet to wear off ! We are trying to restock after a series of good shows, what we really need is more hours in the day!
